I'm a Wellness Foods Chef, Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, cookbook author, and RA thriver! My mission is to help other women to do what I have done: permanently relieve the symptoms of RA and other autoimmune diseases through diet & lifestyle measures. "No meds!" is my mantra!

When I was hit with rheumatoid arthritis, out of the blue at age 41, I was at the peak of my career. I owned a successful bakery and cake studio and was appearing regularly on Food Network as a featured cake artist. I was much in-demand from press and media and I was courting multiple book and TV opportunities. I thought I "had it all".

RA took it all away in the blink of an eye. But in the midst of the darkness and pain I was certain I would find a silver lining. 

I know. Sounds sappy, doesn't it? Well, it's true. I knew there was a reason for it all, and I knew I would eventually find a way to make my experience meaningful.

That's why I'm here helping others to achieve the same goal of THRIVING with RA.

I promise you, my wellness world isn't about cold, stale nutrition advice. I'm not going to lecture you about counting calories and I won't make you feel beat up for "cheating". I'm definitely not down with that. Hey, even I eat a handful of Skittles at the movie theater every now and then. It's what we do day in and day out that makes or breaks our wellness, not the occasional indulgences.

What I will do is share what I've learned as a Holistic Nutritionist and a medication-free rheumatoid arthritis thriver. Yes, THRIVER, and yes, MED-FREE! Here's a secret: food and lifestyle are everything. EVERYTHING! If I can control a crippling, incurable autoimmune disease with food and lifestyle, so can you!
